Sometimes branches wish to have a group of items around a theme for a class visit or program. These collections should be managed by placing requests on institutional cards for the requesting location. Items will be sent via delivery to the requested location.
When the items are checked in at the requested location, they will be trapped for hold. You then have the option of checking the items out to another individual or checking the item out to your institutional card.
When you no longer need the items please remember to check them in, clear any outstanding institutional holds and place in-transit back to their assigned location. If the item is from the floating collection, it will remain on your shelf.
